#Pennsylvania Will Start Automatic #VoterRegistration
Nearly ½ of all states have similar programs that combine getting a #DriversLicense or #stateID card w/registering to #vote.
Voters must meet certain eligibility requirements, which include being a US #citizen & a PA #resident for at least 30 days before an #election. They also must be at least 18 years old on the date of the next election.
There are some missable items in life in the #US, like vertical driver's licenses/state IDs if you have one and don't get the other one before you turn 21 (for a vertical ID when you already have a license, you'd have to lose your license twice in a certain amount of time or something, so it's harder to do it in that order).
For a #free #StateID, "voters have to provide several documents to verify their age and identity: a #SocialSecurity card or a document proving they have a Social Security number and a document proving residency, such as a utility bill, school records or a financial statement."
