Starflower (Borago officinalis) has a cucumber like taste and we use it for example in salads. I also use the dried flowers for my herbal teas. Bees love it, we love it but it’s a bit invasive. No need to sow for a second time, it will come back the following year all on it’s own (in my garden at least)

I have taken so many photos of #flowers recently that I can't wait for a #FlowerFriday every week. Here is a #borage #plant that popped up in my garden. It's small and easily overlooked, but if you look closer, it's very interesting and so unique.

Starflower (Lysimachia borealis) is the namesake of my photography work and my favorite spring wildflower. Masses of this plant often light up the understory of the forest.

This species was formerly in the Genus Trientalis.
It is pollinated by bees and flies but produces only pollen, no nectar.
