Last week's roses dropped their petals. To replace them today, coming down a rural flight of locks, the offside bank (not the towpath side) offered us several abundant choices, only accessible by boat.

Not sure what they are, but they're looking good on board in the evening sunshine.

Our cordyline is in full bloom & the highly perfumed flowers are drawing bees & insects from all around. It's heady but light & we can smell it on our balcony & in the garden depending on the wind direction 😍

The perennial snap dragons (toadflax) are also coming into their own too, the larger flowered yellow variety is a little behind but in the next week or so will also be gracing the garden 🥰

Now that the Snap Dragons are self-seeding themselves around the garden we're getting a lovely mix of colours with some really intense hues. These are just some of the ones that were in the sunshine when I took the photos, sadly the camera doesn't do them justice but you get the idea hopefully 🙏
