Reinstalled #Debian on my laptop with #SpiralLinux (Builder) to get the ez-mode BTRFS + Snapper setup and upgraded to #DebianSid for the first time.

So far, it's fantastic!

Es macht den Anschein, als ob #SpiralLinux genau das "Plug&Play" #Debian fΓΌr eine DAU wie mich wΓ€re πŸ˜Šβ€‹.

Oh wow there are many #distros out there. I had no idea πŸ˜† I've now tried out #Linuxmint and #Spirallinux
I already see that I will be unable to decide on one distro of #Linux :D

Ok, it's finally time to leave Microsoft and switch to #Linux
Windows 3.1 are childhood memories, but I can't stomach it anymore.
Was thinking if something appearently easy and straightforward like #spirallinux with #cinnamon desktop for the switch.
Any #advice out there?
@plinubius also mit #linuxmint macht man grundsΓ€tzlich nichts falsch. Alternativ wΓ€ren da noch #SpiralLinux und #mxlinux zu nennen.

Man, the #Debian #Unstable wasn't kidding about being unstable lol. #Distrohopped again to #SpiralLinux, which is maybe my favorite so far! But it seems I'm locked into either running #Sid, or installing the proprietary #Nvidia drivers. Something about the mix is causing a black screen on boot. After a break I'll muck around in #grub and turn off the quiet splash and see if I can tell more.
@[email protected] I have only briefly used debian pup before, so I don't feel qualified to pass a judgement. To be honest, I forgot what the differences even were. It's all detailed in their home page and Barry Kauler's blog. I'm thinking about installing it on all of my computers anyway, as a helper-OS when things go south. Frugal installation, on the hard drive, bit used from a USB thumb drive (as intended)

As for daily drive, I think I'll gave to keep using
#Debian or a deriviative such as #spirallinux as it is the only non-commercial backed distro that is is packaging a lot of the software that I need

So I was trying to install debian via net install and was really struggling to get it to work with btrfs. I eventually gave up and switched to Spiral Linux, which is basically Debian stable with btrfs options built into the installer. Really helped.
