Softwäjhrfehler des tages

Wenn es faulig riecht, liegts an der ausrede:

Die kongressbibliotek teilte heute mit, dass ein kohdingfehler dazu geführt hat, dass teile der verfassung der USA von der webseit des kongresses gelöscht wurden. Sie versprach eine lösung, nachdem heute morgen viele internetznutzer auf die fehlenden abschnitte hinwiesen

Oh, ein kohdingfehler… das passiert halt, da kann man leider nix machen.

Ich würde so einen text, der sich nicht mehr ändert — da können ja nur noch zusätze dazukommen — ja in form statischer HTML-dateien ablegen und zur sicherheit nochmal chmod 0444 sagen. Das macht übrigens auch die datensicherung einfacher. Aber die sind ganz sicher experten, die haben da sicherlich etwas viel besseres gemacht, etwas, das alle meine verständnisfähigkeiten übersteigt. 😂️

Does #Perl lack millions of cheap commodity #programmers? Yes. But the ones it has are force multipliers.

I just read @ncommander 's post about the shutdown of #SoylentNews and the one thing that really struck me was this:

It makes me wonder when #HackerNews is going to suffer the same fate.

#SoylentNews is shutting down on June 30th. For those few odd ducks who enjoy small, technical oriented sites (or any independent forum) as a refuge from the behemoths, this is a blow. I was an active participant there and will miss it.
