Whoever still maintains a #fandom page in 2026 you should really consider moving into something else. I would recommend #miraheze but they also had a small shake so I wonder what else websites currently provide a good enough #wiki farm that is not riddled with #advertisement s

Fandom is at this point giving me physical pain whenever I have to use it.

When it comes to infoboxes and creating templates (in the Mediawiki backend), I might be at a point where Imy decisions will influence the type of coding language used to create infoboxes.

Standard Mediawiki templates have an interface to add template parameters. That way, when you create an article/page and use that template, Ill have a set of data parameters to fill in. In the case of VoxeLibre, that will be adding info about durability, whether an item is replenishable, etc. Parameters are declared as wikimarkup, specifically JSON.

Miraheze also offers a Mediawiki module called PortableInfobox, which seems allow a visual editor to create your infoboxe's data fields. GUI is clunky and unusable to edit existing infoboxes. (I can understand the coding so I can always edit the Infobox via text/source editor after the fact. PortableInfobox is meant to make it more likely that your infobox is compatible when viewed in a desktop browser, or on a mobile device.

If I *do* decide to use Portable Infobox, I dont know if I can/should use it by itself and not use the Mediawiki-native template data function.

Here is one main aspect which I want to build for in my infoboxes: https://support.wiki.gg/wiki/Template:Example_infobox_1/doc (look at the entry titled "Example with Image Gallery". Note that this is the PortableInfobox specific XML code which I mentioned earlier.

On the idea that I use PortableInfobox, would I be defining the data fields for that infobox on the Infobox template or on the Template:VoxeLibre Block template (normal Mediawiki template page) ?

For reference, here is what Minecraft wiki has for its Infobox block template. They dont appear to use the PortableInfobox extension.

Template:Example infobox 1/doc

This is an example template using the PortableInfobox extension. It demonstrates basic header use. {{Example infobox 1 |title= |image= |data1= |data2= }} {{Example infobox 1 |title=Dragon |image=Cargo-sample-dragon.png |data1=Breathes fire |data2=Is green }} Please note, if you want to store your images...

One of the other errors I am encountering on my Miraheze wiki is the Lua error which reads: Lua error in Module:ProcessArgs at line 45: attempt to call local 'p' (a table value).

In looking at the Module page itself, I see that the error even shows up there:
https://voxelibre.miraheze.org/wiki/Module:ProcessArgs

The fact that the error is on the actual Module's page says to me something is really wrong.

My overall goal is to try and create two Infobox templates of my own -- Infobox block and Infobox item.
Here is the page that is giving me inspiration:

Vengo pedir tu opinión sobre esta situación, que me parece inverosímil. Siendo yo Tornitiu, el único de todos los confiados por "Emicraft" (ahí llamado Epsilon) que haya dado una opinión sobre el tema. Se entiende por opinión juicio o valoración de un tema, pero ellos solo se han limitado a decir "Sí". También si quieres, puedes dar una opinión sobre el tema en sí. you wrote @SnowballasmediA cual wiki ? #miraheze

I am being told I like Mega Man too much.

Well! Good news! I'm not alone.

I have just discovered that other people like him enough to have moved the wiki off Wikia.

There's a mirror at Miraheze!
