Whoof, the farmer's market was brutal this morning (Union Square).
8°C, rainy, and strong, gusting winds. Not a lot of customers. Vendors trying to stay warm *and* keep their tents from blowing away. Approximately nobody was dressed for the weather. (A regular coat or raincoat was not enough.)
Cheese bread (pão de queijo) guy was handing out hot samples. They tasted amazing. Dosa stall tent had three walls up and was very crowded with people eating hot food!
The GoFundMe to support the laid off City of Somerville staffers who were in the process of organizing a union is now at $4500 out of a $15k goal.
