Robbie Ferguson π€My #Bitcoin #SoloMining pool appliance is working great for my #Bitaxe devices. Latency is roughly 20-28 ms (down from ~80 using a public pool). Is it worth me building it into a distributable appliance (for example for #RaspberryPi or #VirtualMachine) or is it something nobody really needs and will just waste my time supporting it?

My latest appliance image for #RaspberryPi will empower tinkerers in helping decentralize the #Bitcoin #blockchain and #Mining #Hashrate while also providing a low-latency, trusted local node for #SoloMining #BTC with #ASIC like #Bitaxe. The fun part for me is in building a dashboard that I personally want to use, and then sharing it with the #OpenSource community! Super easy to setup and use, and super sexy to look at. I can't wait until I start implementing my ideas for the worker graphics!
β₯« Lee β₯Plugged an old... very old... Asic USB Eruptor into one of my #homelab servers and got #cgminer working, mining against a solo pool (public-pool.io).
It only draws a few watts, so what the hell... it has a 1 in 23 million chance per day of mining a block. And if I do, it's worth about Β£260k.
Cheaper than a lottery ticket...
