Veery delayed post but even after almost 3 months, I still haven’t processed my thoughts and feelings about it. 😅

I was 25 when I attended my first ever #StateoftheMap and it changed my life. From there, it’s been on my bucket list to bring the global #OpenStreetMap conference closer to home and my community. So that maybe, that conference experience, may provide them meaningful connections and go far. #wegotogetherwegofar

Proud of Taiwo Amodu, our GeoTech master’s student, for continuing his reflections from the State of the Map (SotM) 2025 Conference in Manila! 🌍💪

This time, Taiwo highlighted how open mapping empowers communities across the globe. In the session “Community-Driven Data,” mappers from Tanzania, Mozambique, and Kenya showcased how participatory mapping improves waste management and influences local policy.
