I was 25 when I attended my first ever #StateoftheMap and it changed my life. From there, it’s been on my bucket list to bring the global #OpenStreetMap conference closer to home and my community. As a session host, Taiwo highlighted how OpenStreetMap (OSM) empowers communities to address real challenges. One session, “Resilience Starts with a Map,” showed how youth and women in Dhaka use OSM to map flood-prone zones and dengue hotspots, strengthening local climate and health resilience.
