Hilarity. Oh I love #snapsendsolve. You take a photo of a massive pile of overnight dumping on the #DjerringTrail and report it. it goes to the council, you have no say in where it goes. The council then emails VicTrack saying oh no, 'tis VicTrack land,, please clean it but CC's you in as well. A few hours later VicTrack emails Metro trains saying Oh no, 'tis leased to Metro, "metro please clean it", but CC's council and you as well
if all goes according to previous reports, two weeks will pass and nothing will be done, and then #SnapSendSolve lets you "prompt" their report. The "prompt" will send off an email to ... you guessed it, the council
On the other hand today I bunked off early (I had to go to Officeworks) and I found my best friend, the local cat who is very precious. I think she thinks I'm the postman, because usually she doesn't come up and say hello all the time. I always talk to her and give her lots of opportunities to rub the scooter and me and my bag. No treats of course, I already have too much junk in my work bag.
The downside is that now I can't park anywhere near Bunnings on my e-scooter, the parking is about 200m away. I use the scooter like a car, Neuron, and it allows me to get groceries and plants and items, I park it out of the way, not on the footpath (unless I have to stop to do a photo for #snapsendsolve ) but alas, no more Bunnings...and no more Mrs Fluff. Sad trombone :(
Snap, Send, Solve are collaborating with Better Streets to see if we can gather more data from the community about their street issues.
Use the app to submit photos of issues and the app will send it to the authority responsible for the issue (council, or state government). When you're submitting an issue use the #betterstreets tag and Snap, Send, Solve will be able to send us the data about the issues.

This afternoon, I found an busy wasp nest right by the walking track through Ernle Clark Reserve in Ōtautahi-Christchurch, NZ.
(It's along the river northeast of Barrington Street, on the south side of the track, if you walk there.)
I've reported it on #SnapSendSolve so the council can deal with it.
