I think #Smartsheet resolved one of my biggest complaints. There is a step towards an "I am your administrator you will do as I say.". If I follow a link to a file I do not have access to, I can add myself as an admin to it.

This let me access the file's activity report to settle a user's question.

#Smartsheet desperately needs an I am your administrator you will do as I say authority level. Due to how their pricing works I have to go through and audit our Dynamic View Usage. But, even as the system administrator, if I haven't been shared to a file I have no good way to view the associated files. I have a not good way, I can remove the user's account and transfer everything to me, but that's a battle axe when I need a scalpel.

Seems everyone is in love with Smartsheet. It apparently can do everything.

Suspiciously I check the developer documentation….

Its basically updated Lotus Notes but more spreatsheety and less databasey. 🤷‍♂️
