I just braced myself for 3 frustrating phone calls to companies that double charged me; didn't cancel 2 old accounts; and is taking 2 weeks to snail mail a paper check refund for a service I paid for with my credit card
One took 25 min and calling back twice to resolve but all 3 got resolved! I am so amazed and relieved and actually happy that I succeeded in getting customer service to work in my favor lol

One nice thing about small towns: I went to the dentist because my gums had swollen up quite suddenly and didn't seem to be getting better with hot salty gargles.
He said my teeth look fine, keep doing what I'm doing and sent me on my way - no charge!

There's a breeze! It's 94 and the breeze is warm too, but it's cloudy for the moment so I am getting fresh air on my front porch
The breeze is bringing sweet whiffs from what I think are the flowers several houses down. I can hear the creek flowing right across the road in front of me. And those are the toes of my slippers braced on the porch rail so I can rock back and forth in my big wooden rocking chair
I am very happy in this moment 💕

And because my #SweetTooth doesn't realize I can't taste anything, I had to make #dessert lol. This is a strawberry banana cream pudding cake. Another 10 min wonder haha.
I'm pretty sure I can't taste it really (e.g. at all), but the color and texture are great- really moist and melts in the mouth. And I swear I can smell that something's been baked. So good enough for now #SmallBlessings
