Six Meters is open again over Central USA. Receiving stations from Colorado up through Montana this morning on 6m FT-8 with my pipsqueak indoor 1/4 wave mag mount antenna (on a speaker in my office) with the IC-705 and SDR-Control on an iPad. #MagicBand #SixMeters #IndoorStation

Had left the IC-705 station monitoring 6m with my indoor 1/4 wave mag mount antenna and was surprised this morning to find that there were quite a few FT-8 stations received. Hoping for a better antenna in the future (and maybe one supporting TX?). #HamRadio #IndoorAntenna #SixMeters #MagicBand

Six Meters open a-bit here in Central/Eastern US? Have had the IC-705 w/ iPad SDR-Control listening on 6m FT-8 for a few days now and just noticed that a Virginia station was heard from FM16 here in EN52. Antenna here is a 1/4 wave mag mount stuck on top of a speaker inside the office (a few dB above a dummy load for sure). #HamRadio #IndoorStation #SixMeters $MagicBand

Results: No distant stations heard today. Worked one EN52 local (N8DKK) who was also using a Yaesu VX-8DR on 52.525 FM. #HamRadio #SixMeters #Yaesu

@k0in like Halo or square variety as gives horizontal polarization and Omni coverage. Can stack 2 for more gain. #HamRadio #SixMeters
