Not a particularly special looking arrangement today, but I'll excuse myself by saying I really only put it together to test out the paint job I did on this vessel.
For some reason it arrived speckled all over with pale green paint. I re-painted it with brown, black, and rubb'n'buff. Not bad!

Just a little collection of hellebores, forsythia, and crabapple branches.

Last year was the first full year on day shift after 10 years of night shift.
I created 80 image folders, impressive considering my decade average of 25ish. My lowest activity year had a total of eight folders, meaning I shot 8 times that entire year.

Despite last year having a bevy of photos from my garden, it took me a bit to get into the swing of things and it wasn't until late spring that I started documentation of the season.

As a result I am determined to get out in the gardens sooner with my camera and not just rely on flower arranging photos to tell the story of the season.

Finally, a new year resolution I am sure to get behind.

I feel like I can't stop crushing over these images I shot Thursday of the daffodils, hellebores, crabapple and forsythia gathered from my garden.

There's a mixture of excitement for spring arrangements to come and for just how lovely these images came together. Looking forward to see how these fit in with some plans for gallery plans later this year. <3
