Im Wechsel der #Jahreszeit|en,
nach regionalen Gegebenheiten:

#Frühling ist, wenn die #Forsythie|n blühen.

In der Nachbarstadt, nur 20km entfernt
aber doch 200 Höhenmeter tiefer,
sind sie fast schon wieder abgeblüht.

Bei uns können sie es sich so langsam
vorstellen damit anzufangen.

Bei uns speziell steht der Frühling
vor der Tür - wortwörtlich:

Vorne beginnt die #Blüte jetzt.
Hinten ist noch nicht daran zu denken...

Spring is here, and the forsythia (Forsythia x intermedia) is making sure everyone knows it. 🌼
One of the most iconic early-spring shrubs, forsythia bursts into brilliant yellow bloom before a single leaf appears. The flowers open directly on bare branches, creating that striking all-yellow effect that signals the end of winter. Despite its cheerful appearance, forsythia offers limited value for pollinators — the flowers produce little nectar. But as a visual marker of the season, it's hard to beat.

Lente is in aantocht, en de forsythia (Forsythia x intermedia) laat dat duidelijk weten. 🌼
Een van de meest iconische vroegjaarsstruiken, de forsythia barst uit in stralend geel voor er ook maar één blad verschijnt. De bloemen openen zich direct op de kale takken, wat dat typische all-yellow effect geeft dat het einde van de winter aankondigt. Ondanks zijn vrolijke verschijning biedt de forsythia weinig voor bestuivers — de bloemen produceren nauwelijks nectar. Maar als visueel teken van het seizoen is hij moeilijk te overtreffen.

De forsythia is minder vroeg dan ik had verwacht met deze temperaturen, maar vandaag kun je toch wel vaststellen dat ie bloeit.
