I remember being in my car, listening to NPR, when it was announced that Alice Munro had won the Nobel Prize for Literature. “Yes!” I yelled. (I must have looked insane!). This was, first and foremost, for Ms. Munro, but it was also for the short story genre which I’d always felt was overlooked and even slighted, not taken seriously.
The world of literature, and the world in general, has suffered a great loss.

1490 words written today and my Short Story is finished!
- Lil fist pump!.
So, I will read through it tomorrow, make some notes, and then put it to one side, and edit my 9006 word short story on Wednesday.
Anyway...now for some #LiquidDrumandBass as I decide which idea to to write next.
I am really excited by the new #ShortStory that I am writing.
Ok, that is my Short story backed up in three different places.
The belt and braces approach to making sure something god awful does not happen!
especially as I have a dodgy hard drive that i will have to replace at the end of the month.
Finally...
This short story is written from start to finish.
However for submission purposes it is 328 words to long,
and
it needs reading, editing, reading, editing, reading and then polishing, but apart from that, this is a good moment!
