I tuned into NPR this morning to hear how the bourgeoisie were feeling. They're *very* concerned.
Specifically, they're very concerned about violence. Violence is bad. Protesters mustn't be violent. A very important professor at Harvard said that violence begets violence. And violence by protesters would just give Trump and the others license to be violent, too!
If people are concerned about what's going on these days with that horribly gauche and boorish Trump, they should vote - with their money. Look how quickly the people were able to get Jimmy Kimmel back on the air. They canceled their Disney Plus subscriptions, and Kimmel was back on the air within 3 days!
Now THAT'S power.
But there's always some wild-eyed tankie ready to spoil everything for everyone. In this case, it was a woman who was talking about a general strike. Apparently it's been called for January 20th, and it's going to last for two whole hours! No specific demands, it's just to demonstrate the incredible power and will of the American people against that tactless, tasteless Trump.
He's so embarrassing! Makes the whole country look bad.
the funny thing is, these "leftists" call those of us who say we need to vote "#shitlib" "#bluemaga" etc
the simple truth is their nonvote/ 3rd party vote supports #maga
and they are the ones who don't really support what they say they do, they only support their performative outrage, as they are happy to watch society slide to fascism instead
welp, looks like #Democrats are set to lose in 2028.
Who is this #ableist asshole and why is he such an absolute asshole? #disabled #disability #ableism #shitlib
He literally called me a troll for pointing out ableist language and explaining why it’s ableist.
perfect #shitlib logic: https://babka.social/@escott/114819010682791131
Stay with me: A place can be deeply, unutterably evil and still not be a #concentrationcamp. If it doesn’t have mass graves and crematoria, either within the camp or within the network of which the camp is a part, then it’s not a concentration camp. Saying so does not trivialize the misery and injustice of #prisons, #detention facilities, and internment camps. That suffering is real and demands action. But in order not to dishonor those who, along with their families, suffered and died in the death camps — and, just as importantly, to remind people what happens if we don’t reverse the plunge into the moral abyss that is US #immigration enforcement — we must make the necessary distinctions. Things can get worse — and will, unless we act.
