I'm very excited to have been selected for a talk at FOSDEM! ๐๏ธ ๐
I will be presenting Shig and discussing interactive live streaming in the Fediverse. Shig is a federated live stream broadcasting service with an ActivityPub implementation. Perhaps we'll see each other at FOSDEM or join me during the talk:

Today we are live on YouTube! ๐

Shig is streaming an endless loop live to YouTube. For this, we have set up a pipeline where a Shig Lobby (SFU) acts as a distribution hub.
๐ No signaling server is required! ๐
This is the next stability test for Shig. If the test goes well today, the next goal is to connect several SFUs as pipe in series.

Basement for a distributed stream in the Fediverse:
I've initiated a continuous live stream via Shig. The stream is broadcasted to a Shig Lobby via WebRTC. An RTMP transcoder has also connected to the lobby via WebRTC and transcoding the stream to RTMP and sending it to PeerTube via RTMP. The Shig lobby is running on one server, and PeerTube on another.
I'll keep the stream running until tomorrow to see how stable it performs.
Hello,
there is now a PeerTube instance for Shig.
I will use it to test the current version of Shig and also to publish videos about the current status of Shig.
I've uploaded a short video about the first raw version of multi-guest live streaming with PeerTube there.
