Thinking about US Supreme Court Justice #ClarenceThomas & the sketchy, unethical stuff he's up to his neck in, & thinking about how the other Justices might be our only hope in forcing him to recuse himself in cases he's tangled up in, tho at the risk of diminishing the #SupremeCourt itself. Then this #poetry came mind, this personal yet universal meditation on how the driving force of self-preservation ultimately obliterates all else.
