Narratives around online sex work tend to go either full “Trafficking! Pimps! Rapists! PORNOGRAPHY!” — or (mostly in an attempt to avoid being instrumentalized by the previous) swing completely the other way into some sort of “It's wonderful, beautiful, and most of all free loads of money!”…
Goes without saying, both caricatures are rather far of the truth.
Sure, both of them do happen; but for the great majority, online sex work is either barely lucrative, a full time job (with significant overtime), or both.
The article does a good work at highlighting this side.
