Il Fatto Quotidiano: Flotilla Gaza, studenti di un liceo di Ancona in sciopero per il prof arrestato: “È un esempio per tutti noi”
Vittorio Sergi, professore del liceo classico Carlo Rinaldini di Ancona, è uno degli attivisti arrestato dalla Marina israeliana in acque internazionali mentre si trovava a bordo della Cactus, una delle imbarcazioni della missione umanitaria Global Sumud Flotilla diretta verso Gaza. Questa mattina, i suoi studenti si sono riuniti davanti ai cancelli dell’istituto per uno sciopero, chiedendo il rilascio immediato del loro insegnante di filosofia e scienze umane.
“Siamo sempre rimasti in contatto con lui, fino a poco prima dell’arresto. – spiega Teodoro Palpacelli, presidente del comitato studentesco – Ci ha sempre stimolato nelle nostre attività di partecipazione all’interno della scuola, è un grande esempio per tutti noi”. In mezzo ai giovani anche la mamma di due studentesse allieve di Sergi: “Sono qua perché quello che Israele sta facendo alla Flotilla, che sta portando avanti un’azione pacifica, è del tutto illegale. Momenti di protesta come questo sono importantissimi”.
Dopo due ore di presidio, che era stato annunciato ieri dal collettivo studentesco “Metropolis”, gli studenti si sono riuniti al parco della Cittadella per un’assemblea pubblica. “Condanniamo le ripetute violazioni del diritto internazionale da parte di Israele e ricordiamo del trattamento disumano che l’Idf riserva ai suoi prigionieri”, si legge sui profili social della scuola gestiti dagli studenti. I professori da parte loro hanno fatto una raccolta firme per chiedere la liberazione del collega. Le azioni sono volte anche a fare pressione sul preside della scuola perché consegni una lettera al ministero degli Esteri che chieda l’immediato rilascio del professore e degli altri prigionieri italiani.

Vittorio Sergi, a teacher at the Carlo Rinaldini classical high school in Ancona, is one of the activists arrested by the Israeli Navy in international waters while aboard the Cactus, one of the vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla heading to Gaza. This morning, his students gathered in front of the school gates for a sit-in, demanding the immediate release of their philosophy and human sciences teacher.
“We have always remained in contact with him, until just before the arrest. – explains Teodoro Palpacelli, president of the student committee – He has always inspired us in our participation activities within the school, he is a great example for all of us.” Among the young people is also the mother of two student apprentices of Sergi: “I’m here because what Israel is doing to the Flotilla, which is carrying out a peaceful action, is completely illegal. Moments of protest like this are very important.”
After two hours of a vigil, announced yesterday by the “Metropolis” student collective, the students gathered in the Parco della Cittadella for a public assembly. “We condemn the repeated violations of international law by Israel and we recall the inhumane treatment the IDF reserves for its prisoners,” reads the school’s social media profiles managed by the students. The teachers, for their part, have organized a petition to demand the release of their colleague. The actions are also aimed at putting pressure on the school principal to deliver a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requesting the immediate release of the professor and other Italian prisoners.
