I'd been trying to look for things within PeerTube servers, or searching for appropriate servers with close to no luck.

The search engine makes #PeerTube a lot more usable! Yes!

Why did I not know about Sepia Search to find videos across all Peer Tube instances?

With #HolosSocial, we introduced the same feature that is on #Fedilab to discover videos from the Fediverse thanks to #SepiaSearch (https://sepiasearch.org).

#PeerTube devs offered this option, which is really helpful for discovering new content on their platform.

We might introduce peer-to-peer streaming soon when watching PeerTube videos, with an option to disable this behavior.

Their API is used to display the content, then actions work through ActivityPub.

It is great to see the #PeerTube ecosystem gaining substance. I did not really study this quantitatively, but I find myself ever more often having luck trying a #SepiaSearch before a #duckduck video search. There are some genres very well represented, in particular the more nerdy stuff, naturally.

On #MakerTube where I help moderation, I see an actual clear increase in users and daily content creation.

Why doesn't #duckduckgo include results from the peertube-verse?
