Their blood is blue thanks to hemocyanin, a copper-based molecule that carries oxygen. Unlike our iron-based hemoglobin, hemocyanin is more efficient in low-oxygen deep-sea environments. Without this adaptation, octopuses wouldn’t survive in the deep ocean!

@elduvelle snakes do not use legs for walkies :) modern snakes in general do not have legs but pythons and boas (considered to be basal snakes) do have vestigial hind legs/limbs. From what I gathered, the vestigial hind limbs are used to aid in mating and holding onto tree branches
