Vernachlässigte Tropenkrankheiten (#NTDs) betreffen weltweit Millionen Menschen, erhalten aber oft wenig Aufmerksamkeit.
Unser NTD-Projekt hat regelmäßig NTDs hervorgehoben, die besonders selten betrachtet werden. Eine davon ist die Krätze (#Scabies), die auch in #Europa ein Comeback erlebt.

Vernachlässigte Tropenkrankheiten (kurz: NTDs von Neglected Tropical Diseases) betreffen weltweit vor allem die Ärmsten der Armen: Tendenz klar steigend, bedingt u.a. durch Klimawandel, Globalisierung und die Folgen der Covid-19-Pandemie. Hierzulande als vermeintlich „exotisch“ wahrgenommene Gesundheitsprobleme wie Schlangenbisse oder Chagas sind für viele Menschen bedrohlicher Alltag, werden global aber strukturell vernachlässigt.

EDIT: Ich hab jetzt eine dosis bekommen(danke!!!!), evtl. schon 50% von der nächsten, werde anfang Montag nochmal das Gesundheitssystem befragen. Hat wirklich sonst niemand was rumliegen? BTW danke fürs reporten des posts, shaming hilft auf jeden Fall/s (Nein tut es nicht...)

Ich hatte risiko kontakt mit Wesen die #scabies haben bzw. das jetzt positiv bestätigt wurde...
(Nein hat nix mit #39c3 zutun und alle sind informiert) Mein hausarzt will mir heute kein Termin mehr geben und mir sowie so nicht #Ivermectin verschreiben... Mit der creme komme ich nicht klar, mit neurodermatitis hab ich mit den cremes schon hart zu kämpfen #auti halt.
Hat jemand #Ivermectin daheim und ich könnte was davon haben? I'm begging you please ich brauche das wirklich und ich kann das scheiß gate keeping im Gesundheitssystem nicht ab....

Dr J Middleton FRGS MFPH MRSBFolk have been making overblown medical claims for cold water for a long-time.
Turns out one of the first proposals for a controlled trial (on #scabies fwiw) was a C19th Irish Dr trolling a cold-water proponent.
