Sunshine today. Bicycled what I could of the Root River Trail and the city's cleared Creekside trail and picked up some books and DVDs at the Rushford Public Library.

Sad to see the Rushford Bike Share at the Rushford Public Library is closed for the season.

Finally had a no family obligations and not still coughing from Canada wildfires day. So enjoyed bicycling for 20K on the Root River Trail on a beautiful Autumn day.

Talked to my Spouse about it and she said that it had its root on the churches in the South, especially Black Churches who have something called "Call and Response" where the speaker and the audience feed off of each others energy.

The live music outdoors audience is something I'll have to get used to here in SouthEast Minnesota.

They clapped enthusiastically after each song, but very little movement, few smiles, no dancing.

So different from live music in the SouthEast. North Alabama audiences for live bands are dancing, smiling, calling out to the band, hooting and a hollering.

Tonight was the "Rutabaga Brothers" who had a nice mix of Blues, Country, Rock, and Soul with an amazing female vocalist and pretty good male vocalists.

For #Juneteenth I wore my Underground Railroad Bicycle Route jersey. Bicycled on the Root River Trail to and from Peterson and went to the gazebo in front of city hall behind the library where they've been having live bands presented by the Rushford Public Library every Thursday for the month of June.

One bike is in the shop. Backup bike is currently without a chain. Checked out a bicycle from the Rushford Public Library. Adjusted and tightened loose seat after I got home.

Went for a pleasant jaunt around town.

Pleasant after I adjusted to using coaster brakes. A little terrifying when my hand gripping did nothing, nothing I tell you!

I now ❤️ handgrip brakes so much more.
