Is there any point any more trying to run an independent IT training business? I’m struggling to see a future in which enough humans will have IT jobs and want training that a small, obscure, but kinda smart Canadian training company could even sell 10 seats a year. I mean, I’ve been around the block, and I don’t know if I can see a future for my business now. “Now” means a combination of the end of the progressive era, AI replacing humans, and the coming apocalypse. I kinda feel like offering people (admittedly really good) ITIL higher-level courses after the past year is like running a gourmet cafe while the neighbourhood is being overrun by jackals. Does anybody care about continual improvement while the fascists dance in the streets? I’m thinking…no. But if not, then…what?
