Longshot, but: are you in Canada and have a copy of a CD called "Great Northern" by the fusion jazz band Skywalk? I've been on the hunt for a physical copy, would love to buy it off you.

Ok, if you are particularly sensitive to the effects of irony, I suggest you take a seat before reading further.
In what is perhaps the most perfect encapsulation of everything that this experiment has shown so far, last night, deleted-user.com received over 400 emails from the same organization.
This was an EU based tech firm.
The purpose of those emails? They were from the company's legal team, advising users of updated terms and conditions, and the first update was:
"Data protection: we added language explaining how we handle personal data under the GDPR"
If anybody is wondering, mastodon.social server got DDoSโd yesterday but it had no impact on cyberplace.social (and other Mastodon servers) - no queue issues either. Everything just worked as expected.
In other news, โdecentralisedโ network BlueSky has been down so much recently the status page doesnโt even work.
my favourite breed of LinkedIn post is where somebody posts some generic corporate bollocks about how they're brilliant, and includes a headshot of themselves
I'm gonna take a photo of myself in the bath and post about how I've solved cyber with my magic rubber ducky
DDos (Distributed Denial of Service) attack against BlueSky a few days ago: The whole network goes down.
DDoS against mastodon.social today: Lots of users on that instance impacted, the rest of the Fediverse keeps on running, my instance doesn't really notice, messages will be queued up until mastodon.social is reachable again.
Both networks claim to be decentralised and federated. You decide :)
PSA: I am in the process of adopting a greyhound, so there will be many photos of this new delight. He will be our 6th retired racing greyhound, filling a gap in our hearts left by our most recent sweet boy in January.
For those of you who know how this process goes, I have no date, no dog info, and only one picture, which I stare at several times a day. The likely lad will be coming from #Australia to #Canada in the next month or so, and he has no idea how loved he will be.
Please be patient as your feed is inundated with photos of a skinny dog doing absolutely nothing.
