So, question for my @actuallyautistic peeps... Does anyone else start counting as a stim? I was working on a data problem for work late last night and found myself counting... Like everything! Residual bits today, but I mended some stuff sewing and got it out of my system (I think crocheting and macrame helped in a similar way when I was younger). It's been a while since I've had this happen, but now that I understand who I am more, I'm observing my own behavior / impulses / compulsions with a totally different eye (like how I used to -- and still do -- organize art supplies by color).
