Happy Pride!   This one morphed more into just Cardcaptor Sakura rep, but I still love how it came out.

Retro Rainbows 3: Memphis Party

I got very excited with the colours/lighting in this one! I love the geometric designs of the late 80s/early 90s - particularly those of the "arcade carpet" variety!

Now I'm hitting my stride with these, I'll probably go back and adjust the first two once the series is done, to unify them more stylistically. :) But for now, I'll see where the rest take me!

As with the first piece, I was inspired by anime of the late 90s/early 00s, but also by the fashion of the time! Bandanas and jelly bracelets (and jelly sandals!) were all the rage at the turn of the Millennium :D

Retro Rainbows 1: Digivice
Digimon was one of my favourite anime growing up. Alongside Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon, it was super inspiring to me as a small preteen in the early 2000s.

Retro Rainbows is a new illustration series I've had in my head for awhile. Each piece will be a bit experimental style-wise, but they'll all feature retro nostalgia, diversity, and pastel rainbow goodness!
