I feel like this setting needs to be renamed to "Fidget". Much vertex pushing and I know Im gonna hit Persnickety Levels of 8 over this, but the edge smoothness and rotation/flow kept bothering me.
Working on retopology along the snout. Hit the length of muzzle where the valve holes go.
One objective of retopologizing is to get a lower resolution model, for the sake of optimizing the model. Do i have to add more edge loops along the horizontal? (so I can connect the circle)?
Whooo.... #RetopoFlow is a 500lb gorilla when it comes to #Blender add-ons. It says right there that it cannot support meshes that are more than 1 million vertices. So, I can file this #retopology tool under "not for use with original scan".
Seems that to get my mask's edges lined up for the cutout, I might have to go with Instant Meshes or Quads Remesh to do the majority of alignment. Than I can cut out the sculpt base (which is not part of the mask). If its still needed, than I retopo
Checking out #RetopoFlow and seeing how it could fit into the overall workflow (like, where it would fall with the Order of Operations). With each re-topology method I have explored, I have thought about this.
The original 3D scan has lots of triangles. Also, the scanner is not going to "contextually understand" my mask so of course mesh orientation isnt taking the edges into account in the right way.
