@DavidM581 @laughing_kooky @BackyardNudie So I think to save the ANF from itself & to promote #Naturism we need to begin with a group of #naturists taking the initiative. The difference between success & failure is intention & consistency. We need to keep it #respectful, visible & not hidden behind a paywall or disguised with those dreadful mosaics, & it needs to be consistent. That’s what gradually shifts perception & builds something larger. Any thoughts?
Control the narrative. #SocialMedia should consistently show #naturism as ordinary, #respectful, & grounded in #wellbeing, #nature, #community. Avoid anything that can be misinterpreted, because public perception is fragile in this space. This is something I’ve been trying to do with my Mastodon account. (6/10)

Normalise through presence. Everyday, #respectful visibility matters more than grand statements. Beaches, walks, & social gatherings that are clearly non-sexual & well-conducted quietly reshape assumptions over time. If enough people see these events, it will make an impact. (5/10)

C."Good, I'm glad he's dead!" is not really something we were prepared for from someone who is in a position of some importance and esteem [1].
But here we are. I don't know how long until he beats this one, but given his rate of descent, I'm thinking "not very".

At the same time, I’m not sure it’s entirely accurate to say that #Australian culture universally equates #nudity with perversion. While that perception certainly exists in some areas, there are also many examples of quiet #acceptance & #respectful practice. Public understanding tends to evolve gradually, often through consistent, positive exposure rather than rapid change. (2/3)
