RWE is accelerating its renewable expansion in Italy: After starting construction of 112 megawatts (MW) of wind and solar projects in 2025, the company has now kicked off 123 MW in 2026 – more than doubling the capacity under construction to 235 MW.

Betony-leaved Rampion (Phyteuma betonicifolium, Betonien-Teufelskralle) is a perennial herb native to mountain meadows and open forests, preferring calcareous soils. It features slender stems topped with loose clusters of pale violet to bluish flowers and broad, toothed leaves resembling betony.
Ecologically, it provides valuable nectar for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies, especially in alpine and subalpine regions where few other plants bloom at the same time. As a species of undisturbed, nutrient-poor habitats, it contributes to the biodiversity and stability of mountain ecosystems.

I'd love to do this some day, I actually lived near Brighton for four years and booked the #Rampion tour twice but both times it was cancelled for bad weather. Someday I'll get there. I loved being able to take a photo of the turbines using a phone powered by (probably, statistically, some) of the power they were producing

Some 16km offshore you can see part of the Rampion offshore wind farm, a 400megawatt installation spread over 72 square kilometers. All offshore windfarms in United Kingdom pay money to the Crown Estate which "owns" the seabed up to 12 nautical miles offshore. The Crown Estate manages assets that are both not government-owned and also not private property of the king.
