Singapur Highlights: Zwischen Kolonialcharme und Supertrees

Nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück im Hotel versuchen wir heute, uns mit dem Bus Richtung Marina Bay zu bewegen. Da es mehrere Linien gibt, schauen wir, dass wir einen Doppeldeckerbus erwischen – und tatsächlich, der 111er fährt genau in die richtige Richtung. Ein bisserl Glück muss man haben!

Our penultimate stop on our 2008 cruise was to Singapore which meant we had to make sure we took a trip that got us to visit the famous Raffles Hotel and try a Singapore Sling. Raffles - returned to its 1915 heyday look - was wonderful, as was the drink in the Long Bar, and the day in Singapore also had us visit Chinatown and a heritage museum there, then head to a pewter factory to make our own bowls after the Raffles visit, which made for some tipsy entertainment and lovely souvenirs to take home.
