Die Ear Explorers verwendeten: Geschwindigkeitsregler auf einem Tonband mit ichthyischen Klängen, das auf einem Flohmarkt gefunden wurde, rhythmische Rillen, eine 78 rpm aus den frühen 1900er Jahren, auf der der Wind aufgezeichnet ist und die als Soundeffekt in Theatern verwendet wurde, eine leere 78er, kaputte Schallplatten und resonante Schlagzeugklänge.
