@posertinlab I have used #CryoSPARC's tree view since forever because it's a lot easier to understand the relationships between jobs. Even when it was slow on large projects, I put up with it because this view is so helpful. Back when I learned single-particle #cryoEM, with #RELION, I used to draw the job graph by hand as I set up new jobs, so I could remain oriented within large projects.

The performance of the tree view in CryoSPARC 4.6 is really excellent, it's a big improvement in usability compared to previous versions.
Now the only thing that could make the tree view better is an export function as I described here: https://discuss.cryosparc.com/t/job-graph-figure/15228

Job graph figure

Hello, Most publications reporting cryoEM structures have a supplementary figure showing a flow chart of the data processing that produced the reported structure. I love reading these figures, because they sometimes give ideas of new strategies to try on my projects. But I don’t like having to make these figures from scratch… and I have often been tempted to just put a screen capture of the job graph view from CryoSPARC, but this is clearly not ideal. Wouldn’t it be cool if CryoSPARC could gen...

Reading supplementary information of papers sometimes gives nice surprises: I just noticed that two of my EMDB entries were used to train #BlushRegularization in #RELION 😮

So I could not resist the curiosity to check the list of EMDB entries used to train #ModelAngelo, but this one has none of my entries.

For those that don’t know if this is good or not: Depending on the institution, above around 5.6% is abnormally high but not diagnosis threshold for diabetes. 6.5% is diagnosis threshold. Goal for a diabetic, once diagnosed, is to be below 7%. So having 6.3% means I’m achieving goal.

I decided to compare one of those store bought A1c take home tests (ReliOn brand in this case) with a lab A1c test. After my lab blood draws, I came home and used the tester.

ReliOn: 6.5%
Lab: 6.3%

So they are reasonably accurate.

But with a CGM, my GMI was also 6.5%, so not really a good point to using a take home A1c test if you have a CGM.

I managed to find a starter kit for Accu-Chek Instant to compare with. The kit, with 100 strips, is $50. Buying more strips is around 27 cents per strip. So it's cheaper than the Guide setup, but still more expensive than the ReliOn setup by a lot.

Tempted to buy it and do more comparisons and testing.
