Our world feels chaotic, confusing and unfair, but puzzles offer clear rules, solvable problems and reward for effort expended, says Foreign Policy Research Institute fellow Joseph de Weck
So I've started messing around with the Connections game after I finish the NYT crossword every day.
I can not figure out how Connections determines the difficulty. Inevitably on days I find it easy/straightforward it goes "oh this was a hard one". And on days that I can't figure it out it's all "this was an easier puzzle".
Once in a while I could chalk up to luck, but this has become consistent. I find it really odd.
Did you know there is a Bejeweled Valentine Edition? The red rectangles are replaced by hearts, and you can write a message that will appear after some moves.
I found this version on the W2krepo and thought it's quite cute (if not with a grain of dorky)!

You can tell that Is This Seat Taken was made by a European team because its New York train level bears no resemblance whatsoever to the subway. :)
This week, @gemsmoke and I have been playing Poti Poti's wonderful little logic puzzle game.
Tied together by a sweet and engaging narrative about chasing your dreams and criss-crossing Europe at a whim.
It's your job to happily seat a disparate group of shape-people in a shared space so that each of their preferences is met.
Some want to be alone, while others wish to find someone to chit-chat with. Some want to watch something on their phone, some want to shoulder-surf their videos, while others want to be out of earshot of braying technology.
While we get to visit diners, clubs and football grounds, the heart of the game involves catching public transport of various forms.
It's available on consoles and on PC via Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3035120/Is_This_Seat_Taken/), and costs less than 10€ at full price.
