Online multiplayer scales. Local multiplayer doesn't. Over a decade, the games industry quietly stopped serving the second โ and the format went invisible.
It didn't disappear. It just got hidden. Built 2playerfun.com to make it loud again.

Big platforms ship features they never document. Power users find them by accident, and the knowledge becomes folk culture.
TikTok has 46 hidden emoji codes โ [smile], [shock], [smileface]. Not in any menu.
Spent two weeks cataloguing them. Built ttemos.com.
TikTok has 50+ hidden animated emojis you can only activate by typing text codes โ , :rose:,. They're not in any menu. There's no button to find them.
I got tired of googling them, so I built a free reference site with all the codes searchable plus previews.

Built RandTap as a weekend project: bundle every random data generator I kept needing into one site. A year later it's at 24 tools โ phone numbers, addresses, passwords, dice rolls, color palettes, fake names for testing, and more.
Free, browser-based, also on iOS. No ads, no signup, no tracking.

Year-one as a solo indie dev โ a few things that surprised me:
- The tiny utility site I built in a weekend outperforms the game I spent 6 months on
- SEO matters way more than social media
- Nobody cares about your launch day
- The best code I write is the code I delete
Biggest lesson: build 10 small things, not 1 big thing.
What's a counterintuitive lesson that took you too long to learn?
Cosmic Summon is a gacha merge tower defense game I built as a solo indie developer.
The core loop: summon heroes, place them on the battlefield, merge duplicates to evolve them through 7 rarity tiers. Face 28 enemy types across 50 constellation-themed waves โ each wave named after a real star pattern.
12 heroes, each with a distinct ability. Boss encounters every 5 waves.
Browser version is live and free to play:
