TBH, I had wanted a different dish at Hail Fellow Well Met this morning.

I did a ton of research. I counted calories ahead of time. I called a day ahead to ensure they were still serving it. I paid $18 for an Uber to get to the restaurant.

To have the server say, “Sorry, that dish isn’t available today.”

There are times when it SUCKS to plan ahead. I was so disappointed. The yogurt and granola was good, BUT. sigh.

Today at the airport, my flights got delayed and I was almost rebooked for tomorrow. Lucky me there was an awesome agent at the #delta gate who got me on a standby leaving earlier.

But *even if I had missed my connection* it would have been ok, solely because I booked a flight earlier than the one my employer scheduled for me.

The moral: “This is free” or “This is cheaper” does not mean “This is better”.

Flying back to rejoin Tootsie today (a day early).
People raised their eyebrows at me for planning to do this at the start of our layoff.

We got an email yesterday telling us that Tuesday will be an all-day rehearsal before the 2.5-hour evening show.

I’ve been doing this long enough to know: 24 hours to unpack, get groceries, and settle in is far preferable to arriving at 11pm the night before an all-day rehearsal and show 🤷🏻‍♀️ #toldyouso #preplanning #criticalthinking #tourlife
