To supercharge the geospatial skills of the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics and #UNFPA Somalia teams. This workshop will play a key role in enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of the upcoming census—critical work for shaping Somalia’s future! 💡

In this UK FCDO-funded programme we are working to enhance decision making and accountability by improving the coverage, quality, and use of data for sustainable development. We are engaging with national governments and state-run statistical institutes to strengthen data systems, integrate innovative data, tools, and methods, and encourage a culture of evidence-based decision making.
Earlier this week Senior Research Fellow, Dr Sarchil Qader led an intensive 2-day bi-lingual virtual training workshop to strengthen Benin’s and the Republic of Guinea’s geospatial skills as they prepare to conduct national censuses.
