If one migrates from one #pixelfed instance to another one, what is needed to move followers? I set an alias to my old account from my new account. And I set migration from my old to my new account.

I see my followers are gone from my old account, but do not show up in the new account. Is this automated, or is there an action needed from the admins on either side?

@dansup If you open an issue here, then you could potentially get Pixelfed included in the OpenStreetMap ID editor.

This would greatly assist in linking pixelfed accounts with organizations. For those unaware, OpenStreetMap is an Open-Source, community-run project which is an alternative to Google Maps. It is used by countless websites and apps under the hood.

Dear Pixelfed admins, I know it's been a few very busy days lately with all the people joining from Instagram, but please hear me out.

Many of your instances have been around for quite some time and I assume their ToS haven't been updated in a while, or the instances were small enough to make some case by case decisions in regards of AI.

However, things have been busy, both in tech development and in instance growth, and it would be really great if you could add how you handle AI generated content on your platforms, no matter if Midjourney stuff or LLMs like ChatGPT. Your platforms are there to provide space for people who are into all sorts of visual art of sorts, and for many photographers, visual artists and crafters it is important to know how your platform deals with the technology that threatens many of our livelyhoods, not to mention the planet due to high energy and water consumption.

No matter if you prohibit it, allow it or something inbetween, even if you haven't decided how to handle this stuff: Please be upfront about it and put it into your rules. I want to be able to make an informed decision when I choose an instance and I cannot do this if this point isn't mentioned anywhere.
