Catching the remains of the day as the spring equinox approaches, Sunderland's former Holy Trinity Parish Church.
It originally opened in 1719 for the then newly created Parish of Sunderland.
The church stood as the focal point for the community until population changes forced its closure in 1988.
It was subsequently looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust and recently underwent a major restoration project to secure its future a cultural hub.
Re-branded as 'Seventeen Nineteen', it is now enjoying a new lease of life as a cultural arts centre and performance space.

I mostly post my photos here, but today, on #PortfolioDay, I want to share the result of my project to decorate bus stops with stained glass windows. This time, I've created a theme called "Winter Forest at Sunset." This is the third stop I've decorated.

I went out for a test shoot and found that the image in the shaft was slightly tilted. So you see everything from left to right, and then there's this. I immediately thought about the mirror, took it apart, and exactly - the mirror is cracked, it doesn't fit as it should 😞. I've tweaked it a bit, but it still needs to be changed in a good way. I thought about ordering acrylic mirror plates and cutting them out πŸ€”

It's a bit of a struggle to shoot at night with high ISO and have the raw be dark AF... oh well

While having my morning coffee, I saw the moon poking through a gap in the branches, and liked how it was framed. A tripod was necessary at this zoom, but challenging since the moon kept moving!
Photo taken with Nikon D850, Sigma 300-800 at 800mm f/6.3 1/1000s ISO 400; processed with darktable on linux.
