One of our members, @uxMark, did a shift for the annual Vélo Canada Bikes Pedal Poll yesterday. It's an important source of data to assess how people travel when not using motor vehicles in Waterloo Region!

Our Executive Director @uxMark is one of the people who did a shift for the annual Vélo Canada Bikes Pedal Poll. It's an important source of data to assess how people travel when not using motor vehicles!
Every June, Vélo Canada Bikes runs their Pedal Poll across Canada. The 2026 edition is happening now, and there are *still shifts available*!
I counted 403 people during my 2-hour shift on the Iron Horse Trail in Kitchener yesterday, and enjoyed the beautiful warm-but-not-too-hot sunny day while doing it. 😀🚴🏼♀️❤️
Please boost for visibility!
I’m on my second year of a Pedal Poll shift!
Pedal Poll is a nationwide (select cities) Canadian participatory science (not just citizens, eh?) project to collect data on small scale mobility to use to advocate for safe active transportation infrastructure.
