A routine dental visit lead to my first flowering #PavementPlant of the year - Lesser Celandine aka Pilewort!

Recently I met a new-to-me local resident.

Spear Thistle (named for the long end point on the leaf) brightens the street and feeds pollinators :)

@Gaolaitch

That's a great #PavementPlant with added #Mosstodon content - lovely photo ;)

By the way, it's a cultivated Viola, a garden escapee (amateur #botanist here).

@magsamond
I do love a #PavementPlant :)

A visit to the public #library yesterday, so I checked on the #PavementPlant progress. I think they've grown from a #pollinator mix.

The field poppy is still flowering but these newcomers caught my eye

#WildflowerID welcome - is it Corn Marigold on the right?

@jcho
I do love a #pavementplant
@tobestool
What a cheerful #pavementplant ☺️

Even on a cruise, there's still time for a bit of botany! Found Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) growing as a #PavementPlant at the dock.

Couple of flowers for #WildflowerHour - Scarlet Pimpernel (Anagalis arvensis) and Common Vetch (Vicia sativa): the latter in our #MiniMeadow, the former a #PavementPlant growing in a crack at the bottom of a fence.
