I'm trying a different method : I cut the minis off their half bases, and I work on round bases, that I cut and wrap in paper, separately.
I then glue the minis on the base.

Ich habs mal auf "Holz" übertragen, und selbst mit diesen winzigen Tipps sieht der 5-Minuten-Hintergrund um 200% besser ais als alles, was ich bis letzte Woche gezeichnet habe.

eifelkiwiYesterday, in Dungeon of the Mad Mage, my players came up with a great idea to stake out the spider lair: just cast sickening radiance inside and barricade the door. 😀
They even dealt with the drider sneaking up on them creatively: the monk stunned it, pushed it over the edge, where it fell down 100ft, then jumped, turning himself into a human cannon and dealt even more damage while taking none. 😁
