Pacific Wild is a wildlife conservation group located in British Columbia, Canada. Until midnight PST (or 7PM Melbourne time), they'll double your donation.

I've watched this organisation grow from only two people to a dedicated group. They started with sharing photographs, and have grown in to a formidable force, and a voice for the environment. For example, the BC government runs a controversial wolf killing program to try to "save" the caribou population, but it's the logging and clear cutting (by the government!) that's to blame, not the wolves. https://pacificwild.org/foi-findings-unveiling-hidden-truths-of-the-b-c-wolf-cull/

There is also talks about selling and/or logging old growth forests. https://thenarwhal.ca/topics/old-growth-forests-bc/

I just donated to this important cause! Together, we can make a difference. Will you join me?

It’s a rare step toward addressing the real

And keep speaking up—real recovery starts with protecting old-growth forests, not gunning wolves from #helicopters.

BC Timber Sales pauses logging in threatened caribou habitat

The pause applies to new logging investments in the Revelstoke-Shuswap region, where the Columbia North caribou herd is losing habitat faster than it's replaced

Business in Vancouver

Between Dec 2024 and March 2025, 362 #wolves were killed by #government
contractors—an alarming spike from 248 the year before.

For nearly a decade, wolves have been scapegoated as part of B.C.’s #caribou
recovery strategy—even as #logging continues in critical caribou #habitat.

But there’s a glimmer of hope: B.C. Timber Sales just paused logging in a portion of core caribou habitat near #Revelstoke following public pressure.

After months of pressure, B.C. government releases graphic wolf cull photos

The batch of about 45 photos show dead, bloodied wolves in the snow, most of which appear to have been shot in the head, chest, neck, or spine.
