Every Sunday morning the country’s #pastors post comments and prayers to greet their congregations, and remind ’em to come to church. I have a lot of pastor friends, so I see a lot of their posts. (I’m on Pacific time, so I see a lot of them before dawn.)

And whenever conservatives in government do something atrocious, you can tell they wanna speak out about it… but they have to moderate their statements for fear of alienating the partisans in their congregations. Lotta creative writing. Nothing, of course, resembling Elijah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, John the baptist, or even Nathan just speaking out against the king’s evildoing. Those #prophets had big iron balls. American pastors… well, they’re just being pragmatic, right?
