A great first day at #OW2con2026 in Paris!

OpenProject's @RosannaSibora, @wielinde, and Christophe Bliard joined the open source community for insightful discussions on this year's theme: Open Source and Open Models to Drive European Sovereignty.

It was inspiring to exchange ideas on how openness, transparency, and collaboration can strengthen Europe's digital future.

So... we've already enabled project-based work package identifiers there. Take a look! 👀

They'll be available for everyone next Wednesday with OpenProject 17.5. We already like being able to recognize the project directly from the ID.

With improved navigation, clearer content hierarchy, and larger visual previews, it's now easier to discover product updates, migration guides, project management insights, and open source news.

أعلنت منصة OpenProject عن إطلاق الإصدار 17.4 الجديد الذي يقدم ميزات متطورة لإدارة المشاريع البرمجية. يتضمن التحديث أداة Jira Migrator بشكل افتراضي لتسهيل نقل البيانات من Jira، بالإضافة إلى تحسينات في تنظيم المهام المتراكمة عبر ميزة Backlog buckets التي تدعم السحب والإفلات. كما أضاف الإصدار إمكانية نسخ إعدادات سير العمل بين الأدوار، وواجهة جانبية لعرض المهام، مع إضافة أداة اجتماعاتي لتعزيز الإنتاجية وتنظيم الوقت بشكل فعال جدا للمطورين والفرق البرمجية.

🚀 OpenProject 17.4 has been released.

Highlights include support for importing basic custom fields with the Jira Migrator, backlog buckets and improved workflow configuration.

It also includes several security fixes.
