@ascentale @bikenite

A5. It's just started being developed, but I'd like to share @myfear's project #OpenPace.

Looks like it's self-hosted and can communicate with the rest of the Fediverse like #Wanderer does and even aims to build upon the ActivityPub protocol with sports-related contexts like distance, GPS mapping etc. #BikeNite

@myfear @javahippie looks like what I've been wanting to build for a long time. Even similar tech stack (Java + Postgres). Guess it'll be hard to contribute as long as there's no existing code, right? But I'll keep an eye out for my chance to join #OpenPace :)

You guys don't happen to be at #FOSDEM to discuss about this project? Note: I'm not sure yet, if I can make it to FOSDEM this year.

@sobfly Have a look at @fediverse - heaps of interesting projects such as @gadgetbridge #openpace by @myfear as well as work by @benpate

🏃‍♂️ Building #OpenPace - federated activity tracking for the Fediverse

Think Strava, but:
✅ Federates with Mastodon
✅ Self-hosted
✅ Your data, your rules
✅ Apache licensed

Thanks @javahippie for the inspiration!
