I have been using a few of the @ome packages (bio-formats, OME-TIFF) for a while but didn't realize until today that OME stands for Open Microscopy Environment, and is the name of a consortium of universities and private entities working together to develop open formats and software for microscopy!

Hi, since I just moved instance an #introduction is in order.
I am a research software engineer #rse working on #OpenScience for #microscopy (aka #openmicroscopy).
I am also working on #PhysicsOfLife through the development of the #tyssue simulation library.
